Abstract
This interview with Michel Tournier, which is preceded by an introduction, is distinguished from others by a new sense of perspective, as Tournier considers his work, past and present. He recounts fresh anecdotes, characterised by his sense of the grotesque, from his years spent as a student in Tübingen. He discusses his current literary projects and plans for the future, conscious of encroaching mortality, and reads from a recent contribution to his village journal.
